Job Summary

St. Peter Parish (St. Charles, MO) and St. Charles Borromeo Parish are seeking a Bilingual Administrative Assistant to work at both parish offices. Must be fluent in Spanish and English. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • General phones and reception as needed
  • Bulletins, Website & Facebook
  • Working with families to schedule and coordinate funerals, mass requests and other sacraments as needed
  • Work with computer programs including Servant Keeper, QuickBooks, Cemetery database, etc.
  • Computer work, including mail merges, spreadsheets and databases
  • As a representative of our Parish, projects professional and appropriate appearance, attitude and demeanor

  1. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and balance several projects at one time
  2. Strong attention to detail
  3. Must have good interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
  4. Must have ability to perform outlined tasks with minimum supervision and be self-motivated
  5. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  6. Must be able to lift 25 pounds, climb stairs and walk around campus and between buildings
  7. Must have own transportation, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  8. Must complete “Protecting God’s Children” course and pass background check

Job Requirements

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience as a translator preferred
  • General knowledge and support of the Catholic Church, Catholic sacraments, Catholic rites and liturgies preferred
  • Customer Service or Reception experience a plus
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office required.
