Job Summary
Sts. Joachim and Ann is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Middle School English and Social Studies Teacher to join our faculty. This role will involve teaching English and Social Studies to students in grades [6-8], fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the academic and personal growth of students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for education, an ability to engage students in meaningful learning experiences, and a commitment to the school’s mission.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for English and Social Studies in alignment with state standards and school curriculum.
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Foster critical thinking, reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills in students.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Create and maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Incorporate technology and other resources to enhance instruction.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school meetings, and professional development activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Social Studies, or related field.
- Teaching certification in [State] for Middle School English and Social Studies (or the ability to obtain).
- Proven experience teaching middle school students in English and Social Studies.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage students.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems.
- Passion for working with middle school students and helping them succeed academically and personally.
