Job Summary

Are you a people-person who likes building lasting relationships?  Would you enjoy the chance to serve and spend time with the retired priests of the Archdiocese of St. Louis with your personal flair in customer service? If yes, please join our front office team as a receptionist/aide.  We are dedicated, friendly, and excited to serve our beloved priests through our presence at the front desk.  

This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with the ability to pick up additional shifts as available.  The current schedule is OVERNIGHTS, Monday through Thursday.  Monday and Wednesday are 7 pm - 7 am, and Tuesday and Thursday are 11 pm - 7 am.  The front office schedule is made monthly and additional shifts will be offered to cover the time off of other team members.

Job Responsibilities

This is an on-site Receptionist/Aide position located in Shrewsbury, MO. Our mission is to provide a safe and welcoming space for our retired priests to live in community with one another. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for answering telephones; logging and directing visitors; serving and assisting priests with minor administrative and/or health-related tasks, such as making copies or giving eyedrops; handling emergencies by contacting leadership and working with emergency services; light housekeeping, including cleaning floors and bathrooms in the common areas; and other miscellaneous responsibilities that vary based on exact hours worked. 
 

Job Requirements

Schedule: The regular schedule for this position is OVERNIGHTS, Monday through Thursday.  Monday and Wednesday are 7 pm - 7 am, and Tuesday and Thursday are 11 pm - 7 am.  The schedule is made monthly.  Team members will be offered open shifts based upon team need and their availability.  The front office is open 24/7.  Shifts are typically 4, 8, or 12 hours: 7 am - 3 pm, 3 pm - 11 pm, and 11pm - 7 am.

Minimum Age Requirement: 21 years’ old

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Willingness to be of assistance to others
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including reading and comprehending written and digital communications
Flexible schedule and availability
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Ability to stand and sit for periods of time as needed to complete job responsibilities
Ability to be gentle and compassionate in communicating with retired priests
Provide excellent customer service, especially to visitors and during mealtimes
Work well with front office manager, executive chef, nurse, administrator, and other team members at Regina Cleri Community
