Job Summary

Seeking a part time (60%) faith-filled religion teacher who will work 3 days a week and is excited about helping students in grades 6, 7, and 8 to grow in their faith too.

Job Responsibilities

•    Plan and instruct middle school students on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays during the 24-25 school year
•    Using the existing St. Francis of Assisi curriculum, address the Archdiocesan standards for religion instruction in those grades
•    Model and assist students to grow in their prayer life
•    Participate with a parish team in helping students prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation
•    Manage the classroom
•    Plan, instruct, and assess
•    Communicate and meet with parents as needed
•    Other duties as assigned
 

Job Requirements

Must be a practicing Catholic
Must have training in teaching and/or theology or willing to work towards it
Experience with children, middle school aged children preferred
Meet child safety requirements
