Job Summary

Classroom Teacher working with 2-3 year olds. 7:00 am -3:00pm Teacher plans daily lessons through play-based learning centers. Classroom includes a sensory table, developmental toys, a variety of blocks, light table, theme library and much more. Teacher works with classroom assistants to support student learning and centers. Candidate will work with a group of people to provide a team approach to daily classroom activities and tasks. Age appropriate religion lessons, songs and bible stories will be integrated into lesson plans. Position starting May 27, 2025 Position is full time, 12 months with school year holiday breaks. Sick and vacation time earned.

Job Responsibilities

Use curriculum to plan daily lessons with centers and play-based learning opportunities
Lead daily prayer, Bible stories and lessons focused on Advent and Lent
Create an engaging and age appropriate learning environment
Communicate with parents daily through Brightwheel
Use social emotional curriculum to assist children with learning strategies to build friendships and communicate feelings
Create opportunities to increase language development
Help children with developmental stages of potty training
Complete assessments and conference with families
Communicate with Learning Consultants on student progress, track learning needs and document milestones
Work with other 2-3 year old classrooms and teachers to carry out the Mission of Holy Cross Academy

Job Requirements

Degree in Early Childhood education, or other related field.
School building has multiple stairs upon entering the building and playground areas.
Candidates will be expected to play with children at their level including the floor or child size chairs.
Candidate will assist children with the stages of potty training.
Candidate will need to be able to lift children to changing tables.
Complete Prevent and Protect program through Archdiocese and background check
