Job Summary
Middle School English Teacher
Location: Holy Cross Academy: Middle School Campus
Holy Cross Academy is seeking a passionate and skilled Middle School English Teacher to join our faith-centered learning community. This position can be filled as part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate’s availability and qualifications. The ideal candidate will inspire students to grow in their communication, critical thinking, and writing skills while fostering a love for literature and the English language.

Job Responsibilities
Teach middle school English language arts classes, including literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
Encourage creativity and critical thinking through writing assignments, discussions, and projects.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their best.
Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a holistic learning experience for students.
Incorporate the Catholic faith and values into teaching when appropriate.
(For full-time candidates) Participate in school activities, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (required).
Teaching certification (preferred).
Experience teaching middle school students (preferred).
Commitment to the mission and values of a Catholic school.
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
Enthusiasm for teaching English and fostering a love for reading and writing.
