Job Summary
The primary objectives of this position is to provide administrator support of the Pastor’s responsibilities to the parish and a steward of the physical, financial, and personnel resources of the parish.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage accounts receivable.
• Oversee School and PSR tuition programs, in accordance with school and PSR offices.
• Manage and provide details of any mid-year changes to enrollment.
• Manage SCRIP rebate for school families, with parish office.
• Manage all Before / After school billing and collections.
• Manage accounts payable process with parish office. Issue checks, maintain files, etc.
• Prepare deposits as needed and provide proper source documents.
• Maintain and enter all donations to Servant Keeper and provide summary reports.
• Provide details on all activity for restricted cash accounts.
• Provide detail reporting or access to any credit card processing accounts.
• Manage all credit card purchasing with timely receipts and documentation to SAS.
• Provide month end processing to include – statement review and approval from Pastor, provide details of all new scrip inventory purchases, and provide month end scrip inventory reporting.
• Administer all HR functions for new hires, including new hiring paperwork, payroll processing, forms submissions, new employee orientation.
Job Requirements
Knowledge and Experience Requirements
• College degree in business or accounting or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of accounts payable and or business experience.
Skill & Attitudes Required for Position
• General knowledge and support of the Catholic Church.
• Must have excellent interpersonal communications skills
• Must have good organizational skills, record keeping, prioritization, and adaptability skills.
• Must have ability to present themselves professionally.
• Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Dependable yet flexible depending on the needs of the parish.
Relationships Requirements
• Must be able to work well with Pastor and other parish employees
• Handle confidential parish personnel issues
• Work well with parish council and various other parish organizations
