Job Summary

Holy Family Parish School is a faith-centered Catholic school committed to academic excellence and spiritual development. We nurture students in mind, body, and spirit, guiding them to become faithful, compassionate, and responsible members of the community. We are seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Fourth Grade Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Catholic education, committed to student growth, and able to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment. We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills. The teacher would teach 4th and 5th-grade Language Arts.

Job Responsibilities

Faith Formation & School Mission

● Integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction and classroom culture

● Encourage student participation in prayer, Mass, and school faith-based activities.

● Support the spiritual development of students following the Catholic teachings.

● Collaborate with school staff and clergy to promote the Catholic identity of the school.

 

Instruction & Curriculum

● Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with diocesan curriculum standards.

● Teach core subjects, including religion, reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.

● Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

● Incorporate technology and hands-on learning strategies to enhance instruction.

● Use assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

 

Classroom Management & Student Development

● Establish and maintain a structured, nurturing, and respectful classroom environment.

● Promote social-emotional learning and character development.

● Foster a love for learning by encouraging curiosity and critical thinking.

● Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student success.

 

Collaboration & Professional Development

● Work collaboratively with colleagues, administration, and support staff.

● Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.

● Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and student progress reports.

● Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive school culture.

Job Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.

● Valid teaching certification (or willingness to obtain certification as required by the diocese).

● Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.

● Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

● Passion for Catholic education and a commitment to the mission of the school.
