Instructional Aide - Primary

Job Summary

The Instructional Aide supports the classroom teacher in the implementation of educational programs and activities in a Catholic school setting. The aide assists with instruction, supervision, and classroom management, helping to create a nurturing, faith-filled, and academically enriching environment for all students.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in daily classroom activities, including instructional support and preparation of materials.

• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons and provide personalized guidance.

• Supervise students in various settings (e.g., classroom, playground, lunchroom, field trips).

• Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful classroom environment.

• Support and uphold the philosophy, mission, and values of the Catholic Church and the school.

• Assist with clerical duties such as copying, filing, and maintaining records.

• Model Christian values in all interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development as required.

Job Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is strongly preferred.

• Practicing Catholic or willing to support the Catholic mission of the school.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
