Job Summary

The Junior Kindergarten Teacher at Holy Infant plays a vital role in nurturing the early development of young children through a faith-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum. The teacher will create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment that integrates Catholic values, social-emotional learning, foundational academics, and play-based instruction to meet the unique needs of 4–5-year-old learners.

Job Responsibilities

• Faith Integration:

  • Model and promote Catholic values in the classroom and school community.

  • Lead students in daily prayer, religious instruction, and participation in liturgical celebrations.

  • Collaborate with the parish and school community to foster spiritual development.

• Instruction and Curriculum:

  • Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with school curriculum and early childhood development standards.

  • Incorporate hands-on activities, centers, and play-based learning.

  • Foster development in literacy, numeracy, fine and gross motor skills, and social-emotional learning.

• Classroom Management:

  • Maintain a nurturing, respectful, and structured classroom environment.

  • Use positive behavior guidance strategies to support student growth.

  • Monitor and assess individual student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

Job Requirements

• Valid teaching certification (ECE certification or licensure may be required)

• Practicing Catholic preferred; must support and model Catholic teachings

• Experience in early childhood or kindergarten education preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
