Job Summary
Incarnate Word, a Catholic school dedicated to nurturing faith and academic excellence, is seeking a supportive and dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in providing a well-structured, faith-filled learning environment. The classroom aide will work closely with the lead teacher to support student learning, supervise classroom activities, and help maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere grounded in Catholic values.
Job Responsibilities

Assist the teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities.

Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce instruction and support learning.

Supervise students during classroom transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-instructional periods as needed.

Help prepare instructional materials, organize supplies, and maintain a clean and orderly classroom environment.

Support students with special learning needs by following accommodations and teacher direction.

Promote and model behavior consistent with Catholic values, respect, and responsibility.

Provide general clerical support to the teacher, such as copying, filing, and organizing materials.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all student interactions and communications.

Participate in school-wide activities, liturgies, and faith-based events when appropriate.
Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate degree or coursework in education preferred.

Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred.

Understanding and support of the mission and values of Catholic education.

Patience, reliability, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to follow teacher direction and work collaboratively with staff.

Practicing Catholic preferred, or respect for Catholic teachings and environment.
