Job Summary
The Before School Program Aide provides safe, attentive, and caring supervision for students before the start of the school day. Working within a Catholic school environment, the aide is responsible for creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere that supports students’ well-being and reflects Christian values. This position requires reliability, warmth, and the ability to manage a group of children in a respectful and structured way.
Job Responsibilities

Supervise students in a designated area (e.g., cafeteria, gym, classroom) before school starts.

Greet students and parents in a friendly and professional manner.

Ensure a safe and orderly environment where children are engaged in quiet activities (reading, games, homework, etc.).

Enforce school rules and promote respectful behavior consistent with Catholic values.

Monitor students’ health and safety; respond appropriately to any incidents or needs.

Maintain attendance records and report any issues to the program coordinator or school principal.

Prepare and clean up materials and spaces as needed.

Model Christian behavior and support the Catholic identity of the school.
Job Requirements

Experience working with children in a school, daycare, or church setting preferred.

Practicing Catholic preferred or respectful of the Catholic faith and mission.

Must pass all required background checks and complete diocesan Safe Environment training (e.g., VIRTUS).

Ability to maintain a calm, positive demeanor and manage a group of children effectively.
