Job Summary
Incarnate Word Catholic School, a Catholic elementary school dedicated to academic excellence and faith formation, is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic K-4 Math Specialist Teacher. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing math instruction for students in kindergarten through fourth grade by providing targeted interventions, enriching curriculum, and collaborating with classroom teachers to foster strong numeracy skills within a faith-based learning environment.
Job Responsibilities

Provide specialized math instruction and interventions to K-4 students based on assessment data and identified needs.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement effective math lessons that integrate Catholic values and promote conceptual understanding.

Support teachers in differentiating instruction and using research-based strategies to meet diverse learners’ needs.

Assess student math skills regularly, analyze progress, and adjust instruction accordingly.

Design and facilitate small group or one-on-one math enrichment and remediation sessions.

Participate in curriculum planning and development to ensure alignment with diocesan standards and Catholic educational principles.

Communicate with parents and staff regarding student progress and strategies for math success.

Attend faculty meetings, professional development, and school liturgies, contributing to the Catholic school community.

Uphold and model the mission and values of the Catholic school.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Mathematics Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Valid teaching certification with a focus or endorsement in mathematics or elementary education.

Experience teaching or supporting math instruction at the K-4 level preferred.

Knowledge of current math curricula, instructional strategies, and assessment tools.

Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Practicing Catholic preferred, or willingness to support the school’s Catholic mission and values.
