Position Overview: St. Joseph Catholic Church is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to serve as a Coordinator of Youth Ministry. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work with the Director of Youth Ministry and engage with youth in grades 6 through 12, guiding them in their faith journey and fostering a vibrant Catholic community among middle and high school students.
Job Responsibilities
· Develop and implement engaging youth programs, activities, and events specifically tailored to middle and high school students.
· Develop and direct weekly middle school gatherings.
· Provide spiritual formation and catechesis through Bible studies, small groups, retreats, and sacramental preparation programs.
· Foster meaningful relationships with youth, empowering them to grow in their relationship with God and live out their faith in daily life.
· Collaborate with the Director of Youth Ministry, parish staff, volunteers, and parents to create a supportive youth ministry environment.
· Attend and actively participate in parish events, Masses, and meetings as required.
· Stay informed about current trends, resources, and best practices in youth ministry to enhance program effectiveness.
Job Requirements
· Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
· Bachelor's degree in theology, religious studies, pastoral ministry, or a related field (preferred).
· Previous experience working with youth in a ministry or educational setting.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate effectively to the youth of the parish and their families.
· Commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for youth to explore and deepen their faith.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel for retreats or events.
