Job Summary
The Cafeteria Monitor is responsible for supervising students during lunch periods to ensure a safe, orderly, and respectful environment in keeping with the Catholic values of the school. The monitor supports student well-being by promoting appropriate behavior, cleanliness, and a positive dining experience.
Job Responsibilities
Supervision and Safety:

Oversee students in the cafeteria during meal times to ensure appropriate behavior and safety.

Monitor student movement to and from the cafeteria and maintain orderly transitions.

Enforce lunchroom rules in a consistent, respectful, and fair manner.
Behavior Management:

Promote and model respectful, Christ-centered behavior.

Address minor conflicts or disciplinary issues calmly and refer serious issues to appropriate school personnel.

Encourage table manners, cooperation, and kindness among students.
Job Requirements

Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is a plus.

Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission and values of Catholic education.

Ability to maintain order, remain calm under pressure, and engage positively with students.

Dependability, punctuality, and strong interpersonal skills.
