Job Summary
The Catholic School Teacher is responsible for delivering academic instruction and faith-based education in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church. The teacher nurtures students’ intellectual, moral, spiritual, and emotional growth by integrating Gospel values with high-quality academic learning. This role requires collaboration with faculty, parents, and administration to build a vibrant, Christ-centered learning community.
Job Responsibilities
Instruction and Curriculum:

Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons aligned with diocesan curriculum standards and instructional best practices.

Differentiate instruction to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities.

Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement.

Monitor and assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.

Maintain accurate student records, grades, and documentation.
Classroom Management:

Establish and maintain a respectful, safe, and orderly classroom environment.

Promote positive behavior and discipline consistent with school policies and Catholic values.

Support students in developing responsibility, self-discipline, and interpersonal skills.
Collaboration and Communication:

Maintain regular, open communication with parents regarding student progress, classroom events, and school initiatives.

Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to support student learning and school programs.

Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school functions as required.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field

Current teaching certification or eligibility in the state or diocese.

Strong classroom management, instructional, and communication skills.

Prior teaching experience, preferably in a Catholic or private school setting.
