Long Term Substitute Teaching Position

Job Summary

Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eureka, a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and faith formation, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide instruction and maintain a supportive classroom environment during a teacher's extended leave of absence. The ideal candidate will uphold the mission and values of Catholic education while ensuring continuity in learning.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction based on existing lesson plans or develop appropriate plans aligned with curriculum and Catholic values.

• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, respect, and discipline.

• Foster spiritual, academic, and personal growth among students.

• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration as needed.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school leadership.

• Administer and grade assignments, quizzes, and tests.

• Attend school events or meetings when necessary.

• Uphold and model Catholic values and teachings.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (required).

• Valid teaching credential or substitute teaching permit (state-specific).

• Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience preferred.

• Practicing Catholic or respectful of Catholic teachings and culture.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
