Job Summary

The Catholic School Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction rooted in the Catholic faith and values. The teacher will nurture the spiritual, academic, and emotional development of students while fostering a faith-filled learning environment. This role involves collaboration with faculty, administration, and parents to ensure that each student thrives within the mission of Catholic education.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and standards-based lessons in [subject or grade level].

  • Integrate Catholic teachings and values into the curriculum and daily activities.

  • Support the faith formation of students through prayer, liturgical participation, and modeling Christian behavior.

  • Create a classroom environment that promotes respect, discipline, and academic excellence.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.

  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and school events.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support school-wide initiatives.

  • Participate in professional development and faith formation activities.

  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and assessments.

  • Uphold and support the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required).

  • Valid teaching credential or certification (state-specific if applicable).

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing (preferred or required, depending on diocese).

  • Prior teaching experience in a Catholic or faith-based school (preferred).

  • Commitment to the mission of Catholic education.

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • Ability to integrate faith into teaching practices and classroom culture.
