Job Summary

This is a part-time position with a flexible work schedule reporting to the Business Manager. The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing various financial tasks and general office administrative duties. The primary focus of this role includes the handling day to day tasks of accounts payable, cash receipting, payroll maintaining the status animarum database, and other financial related duties as directed by the Business Manager.

Job Responsibilities

· Manage weekly accounts payable and vendor payments in Quickbooks

· Maintain vendor records and coordinate payment approvals as necessary

· Assist with processing and recording of weekly donations and receivables

· Assist with Bank Deposits and cash procedures with parish organizations

· Review timecards and process payroll every two weeks

· Reconcile Credit Card Statements monthly

· Assist with month-end close procedures, ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed

· Assist in preparing annual parish and school budgets

· Maintain the Status Animarum database for the parish

· Create and Process periodic reporting and statements as needed

· Coordinate administrative office services for themselves and others, records control and other administrative activities as directed by Pastor and/or Business Manager

· Collaborate with Business Manager, staff, and clergy to support financial operations and parish mission

Job Requirements

· Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church or possessing a deep understanding of and respect for Catholic teachings

· Bachelor’s or Associates in Accounting/Business Administration preferred

· Minimum of 2 years administrative/office experience

· Strong Organizational and Communication Skills

· Attention to detail and accuracy of work

· Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite products (excel, word)

· Familiarity or Proficiency in using Quickbooks would be a plus

· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Pastor, Business Manager, parish staff and volunteers with a mission of driven spirit
