Job Summary
St Ignatius Catholic School a Catholic elementary school committed to academic excellence and faith formation, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher. This role involves fostering a supportive and faith-filled learning environment where students grow academically, socially, and spiritually. The teacher will integrate Catholic teachings with rigorous academics to develop the whole child.
Job Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards and Catholic values for assigned grade levels (typically K–5 or specified grades).

Incorporate Catholic doctrine, prayer, and traditions into daily classroom activities and lessons.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.

Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and academic achievement.

Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to support student growth and well-being.

Manage classroom behavior with patience and consistent discipline aligned with school policies.

Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, retreats, and community service activities.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student work.

Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.

Uphold the mission and values of the Catholic school in daily interactions and teaching.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field (required).

Valid state teaching certification/license for elementary education.

Practicing Catholic preferred, or willing to support and respect the Catholic mission and teachings.

Previous teaching experience in elementary education preferred.

Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.

Commitment to fostering academic excellence and spiritual growth in students.
