Job Summary
The Parish Program and Events Support plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Archdiocese of St. Louis by assisting with the administrative and logistical coordination of the Parish School of Religion (PSR) program and helping to plan and execute parish cultural and religious celebrations. This role serves as both a behind-the-scenes organizer and an on-the-ground presence during parish events.
Job Responsibilities
Parish School of Religion (PSR) Support
- Manage the day-to-day administrative tasks associated with the PSR program.
- Process payments, maintain accurate attendance records, and track student service hour completion.
- Communicate with parents, catechists, and parish staff as needed to support program logistics.
Parish Cultural & Religious Events
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of parish events and liturgical celebrations, including but not limited to:
- Día de los Muertos
- Las Posadas
- Fiesta de la Virgen de Guadalupe
- Coordinate volunteers, supplies, set-up, and clean-up for events.
- Collaborate with parish leadership and ministries to ensure events reflect the cultural and religious traditions of the community.
Job Requirements
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, committed to the mission and teachings of the Catholic faith.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with parish staff, volunteers, and families.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- Prior experience with event planning or religious education programs is a plus.
