Job Summary

The Principal of Immaculate Conception, Dardenne is a dynamic and compassionate leader who is responsible for managing the overall operations of the school. This role involves overseeing instructional programs, ensuring compliance with educational regulations, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment, and supporting the development of staff and students. The principal works collaboratively with teachers, staff, families, and the community to provide an individualized educational experience that meets the unique needs of students with disabilities.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
•    Ensure the implementation of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and assist with the development of appropriate accommodations and modifications.
•    Oversee the development and implementation of individualized instructional programs based on student needs.
•    Support teachers in delivering differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
•    Monitor student progress and ensure that appropriate assessments and interventions are in place.
•    Foster a collaborative environment where educators work together to share strategies and resources.
•    Conduct regular performance evaluations for teachers and staff, providing constructive feedback and professional development opportunities.
•    Promote teamwork and encourage a collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
•    Work closely with school counselor and outside service providers to develop and implement comprehensive support services.
•    Promote positive behavior and discipline systems tailored to students' individual needs.
•    Engage with families to provide support and maintain open communication regarding students' progress and needs.
•    Maintain accurate records and documentation of learning plans and service plans, assessments, and student progress.
•    Coordinate with external agencies and service providers to ensure that students receive appropriate services and accommodations.
•    Serve as the primary point of contact for families and community partners regarding school activities and special education services.

Job Requirements

•    Practicing Catholic
•    Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Special Education, or a related field. 
•    Special Education certification.
•    Minimum of 5 years of educational experience.
•    Experience in developing and implementing student learning and service plans, behavioral interventions, and differentiated instruction.
•    Proven record of success in managing a special education program and working with students with various disabilities.
