Job Summary
St. Dominic High School, a Catholic college-preparatory school in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Nurse to support the health and wellness of our students, faculty, and staff. The school nurse will be responsible for promoting health and safety, managing student health records, providing basic healthcare services, and responding to medical emergencies during the school day.
Job Responsibilities

Provide first aid, emergency care, and general nursing services to students and staff.

Administer prescribed medications and monitor treatments in accordance with physician instructions and Archdiocesan policies.

Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, including immunizations, medications, and chronic condition management.

Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student health issues or concerns.

Collaborate with school counselors and staff to support students with mental, emotional, or physical health needs.

Promote a safe and healthy school environment through education, health screenings, and disease prevention measures.

Maintain inventory of health supplies and ensure medical equipment is functioning properly.

Comply with HIPAA and FERPA regulations, as well as Archdiocesan and state health guidelines.

Assist in the development of health policies, emergency procedures, and pandemic response plans.

Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community healthcare providers when necessary.

School-year schedule, generally aligned with the academic calendar (summers and holidays off).
