Job Summary

St Dominic High School is seeking a qualified, mission-driven educator to teach [Subject] at the high school level. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic committed to integrating faith, academic excellence, and moral development in the classroom. This position requires a passion for education, an understanding of adolescent learning, and a desire to foster a Christ-centered environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities aligned with school curriculum and Catholic teachings.

  • Integrate Gospel values and Catholic social teaching into daily lessons and interactions.

  • Assess student progress through various forms of assessment and provide regular feedback.

  • Create a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment that supports learning.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student development.

  • Participate actively in school life, including liturgies, retreats, service projects, and extracurricular activities.

  • Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks as required.

  • Engage in ongoing professional and spiritual development.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in [Subject Area] or Education (required)

  • Valid teaching credential or state certification (preferred or required depending on region)

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church (preferred or required, depending on role)

  • Commitment to the mission of Catholic education

  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills

  • Experience teaching at the high school level (preferred)
