Job Summary
St. Dominic High School is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and faith-centered educator to serve as a Teacher. The Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that supports academic excellence, spiritual growth, and the holistic development of students in accordance with the mission and values of St. Dominic High School and the Catholic Church.
Job Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with diocesan, state, and school curriculum guidelines

Create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners

Utilize effective instructional strategies, technology, and assessment practices to enhance student learning

Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of students
Assessment & Student Progress

Develop and administer assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction

Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and performance
Faith & Mission Integration
-
Support and model the Catholic identity and mission of St. Dominic High School
-
Integrate Gospel values and Catholic teachings into the curriculum when appropriate
-
Participate in school liturgies, prayer, retreats, and faith-based activities
Professional Responsibilities

Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance instructional effectiveness

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
-
Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues

Uphold school policies, procedures, and professional standards of conduct
Student Support & School Community

Foster respectful relationships with students and contribute to a safe, supportive school culture

Serve as a mentor and role model for students

Participate in extracurricular activities, supervision duties, or committees as assigned
Job Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in education or subject-area discipline

Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification (as required by the Diocese/State)

Experience teaching at the secondary level preferred

Practicing Catholic preferred; all candidates must support the mission and values of the Catholic Church

Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
