Job Summary

The Technology Support Specialist plays a vital role by providing timely and professional technical support to faculty, staff, and students. This individual ensures the smooth operation of instructional and administrative technology systems while promoting responsible and ethical use of technology in alignment with Catholic values. 

Job Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, AV equipment, mobile devices, and network issues.

  • Respond to help desk requests via ticketing system, email, or in person in a timely and courteous manner.

  • Set up and maintain classroom technology including smartboards, projectors, printers, and document cameras.

System Maintenance & Administration

  • Install, configure, and update software and operating systems on student and staff devices.

  • Support and maintain user accounts (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.).

  • Assist in maintaining network infrastructure including Wi-Fi, switches, and security devices.

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency with Windows, macOS, iOS, Google Workspace for Education, and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

  • Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 40 lbs) and navigate a multi-building campus.
