Job Summary

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dardenne is seeking a Clerical Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to the parish office. This position supports the mission of the Church by assisting clergy, staff, and parishioners with daily office operations while maintaining a welcoming, respectful, and confidential environment consistent with Catholic values.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide front-office support by greeting parishioners, visitors, and answering phone calls in a courteous and professional manner

  • Perform general clerical duties including filing, copying, scanning, and data entry

  • Maintain parish records, correspondence, and confidential documents

  • Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and parish events

  • Prepare bulletins, letters, forms, and other parish communications as needed

  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries

  • Order and maintain office supplies

  • Support clergy and parish staff with administrative tasks

  • Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and respect in all interactions

  • Support the mission and values of the Catholic Church through daily work

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous clerical or administrative experience preferred

  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, office equipment)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Respect for and willingness to support the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church
