Job Summary

St. Dominic High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Seasonal Coach to lead student-athletes in a Christ-centered, competitive athletic environment. The coach will be responsible for fostering athletic development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and character in alignment with Catholic values and the mission of St. Dominic High School. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead practices, training sessions, and competitions for the assigned sport season.

  • Promote the development of student-athletes physically, mentally, and spiritually.

  • Teach fundamental skills, game strategies, and teamwork.

  • Maintain high standards for behavior, academic performance, and sportsmanship.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during practices and events.

  • Communicate effectively with players, families, and school administration.

  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and adhere to school and MSHSAA regulations.

  • Serve as a positive role model who reflects the Catholic mission of the school.

Job Requirements

  • Previous coaching or playing experience in the assigned sport (preferred)

  • Ability to mentor and motivate high school student-athletes

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills

  • Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission and values of Catholic education

  • Must complete all Safe Environment requirements through the Archdiocese of St. Louis, including Protecting God’s Children training

  • Compliance with MSHSAA certification and school athletic policies
