Part Time Music Teacher

Job Summary

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Old Monroe a faith-based Catholic school, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Part-Time Music Teacher to inspire students through music education and support our mission of developing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. The ideal candidate will bring creativity and structure to the music curriculum while incorporating Catholic values and traditions.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach general music to students in [insert grade levels]

• Plan and lead music instruction, including singing, rhythm, movement, and basic music theory

• Prepare students for school liturgies, Mass music, concerts, and seasonal performances

• Collaborate with faculty on integrating music into schoolwide events and Catholic celebrations

• Maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports all learners

• Communicate with parents and school staff regarding student progress and performance

• Uphold the mission and values of Catholic education in all aspects of teaching

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field 

• Valid teaching certification preferred (state or diocesan)

• Familiarity with liturgical music and Catholic traditions strongly preferred

• Strong classroom management and communication skills
