Job Summary
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Level II Catechist
St. Bridget of Kildare Catholic Parish and School in Pacific, MO is seeking a Level II Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Catechist. This CGS catechist will be responsible for helping to open our new Level II Atrium in August 2025. This position will begin in the spring 2025 and will include teaching Level II CGS to 1st and 2nd grade students enrolled in St. Bridget of Kildare Catholic School and St. Bridget of Kildare PSR Program, as well as making the Level II CGS Atrium accessible for local homeschool groups and parish children. This is a part-time, 3 day/week position, and the schedule is flexible to your needs. Job Responsibilities

Help create materials & purchase furniture & materials for our new CGS Level II Atrium.

Complete CGS Level II Album pages, if this has not been completed already.

Work closely with the Director of Evangelization and Faith Formation, plus our CGS Level I Catechist, to plan the St. Bridget CGS schedule for day school students, PSR students, & local homeschool groups.

Successfully give presentations to small groups of children in the Atrium.

Maintain accurate student records for which Level II presentations have been presented.

Help students ages 6-9 develop their relationship with God through their contact with Scripture, liturgy, and the whole of sacred history.

Communicate to the parish and school community through CGS updates, pictures, and parent testimonials what fruit has come from the CGS Atrium.
Job Requirements

Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, with a strong understanding of Catholic theology and traditions.

Have a robust prayer life.

CGS Level I trained (required) & CGS Level II trained (preferred). If not CGS Level II trained already, the parish will pay for the Level II training in Summer 2025.

Minimum of 3 years of experience (paid or volunteer) in religious education, catechesis, CGS, PSR, youth ministry, or a related ministry (preferred).

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with parish staff, volunteers, and families.

Proficiency in using digital tools and resources for communication and program management.

Commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for children and youth.

Desire to share their faith with the youth and the families of our parish and school.
