Job Summary

The St. Vincent de Paul Parish School of Religion Secretary position is a two-hour position on Wednesday nights from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities

  • He/she would be responsible for answering the phone. With the installation of the key card system that eliminated the door being unlocked by a key, the secretary will stand by the door and let students and teachers into the building. If not by the door he/she will let the students in by unlocking the door after reviewing the TV screen for identification.
  • He/she would be in charge of announcements over the inner com before classes and at the end of classes.
  • Upon receiving the attendance sheets from all the teachers, he/she will call the family of the absent child to verify the absent.
  • The secretary will make copies for teachers and help with the updating of files with the coordinator.
  • He/she would help when a child is sent to office for sickness or behavior problems.
  • The secretary will also help with the checking of rooms at end of night and locking the doors.
  • The secretary will also help with the reviewing of prayers of students in the office and help with make up tests.
