Assistant Director of Property Management
Location: Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, Shrewsbury, MO 63119
Salary Range: $70,000–$80,000/year
Schedule: Full-time

Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Property Management supports the Director in overseeing all CRSS-owned and managed properties. This role ensures safe, functional, and comfortable facilities through efficient operations, equipment use, and documentation. The position manages maintenance at the Campus Complex and freestanding facilities and serves as a resource to on-site staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Property Management in all tasks
  • Provide technical expertise and support maintenance execution
  • Lead Safety Committees and emergency protocol adherence
  • Maintain inspection logs, journals, and repair records
  • Conduct facility inspections and enforce safety standards
  • Develop and evaluate operating policies and budgets
  • Oversee equipment and building repair/replacement projects
  • Implement property condition assessments and maintenance reports
  • Maintain companywide inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Prioritize preventive maintenance and oversee installations
  • Participate in 24-hour on-call services
  • Train and supervise maintenance staff in safe equipment use
  • Obtain bids and make purchases per budget guidelines
  • Collaborate with Housing Directors and Building Administrators
  • Prepare bid specs and manage vendor relationships
  • Ensure maintenance staff professionalism and policy compliance
  • Support annual performance appraisals
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree with 5+ years’ experience, or 10 years in senior-level building operations
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, inventory, inspections, custodial practices, safety, and vendor management
  • Familiarity with fire, elevator, and boiler inspection protocols
  • Strong knowledge of building construction and maintenance
  • Relevant construction licenses preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software
  • Skilled in safety and disaster planning
  • Experience with Trane software preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs
  • Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer
  • Manual dexterity for equipment use
  • Ability to walk facilities and travel to various locations

Accountability:
Responsible for plant operations budgets, staff, and facilities. Represents CRSS with care and professionalism.
