Pay Range: $48,000–$60,000/year

Position Summary:
Cardinal Ritter Senior Services (CRSS), one of South County’s largest nonprofit senior living communities, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping and laundry teams. This is a working leadership role under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Plant Operations. The Housekeeping Manager ensures cleanliness, safety, and comfort for residents while supporting staff development and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, consulting with leadership on complex issues (e.g., resident concerns, staff conflicts, emergencies)
  • Provide hands-on support in work areas during staff shortages or special projects
  • Assist with room changes, move-outs, setups, and special cleaning requests
  • Support orientation and on-the-job training for new team members
  • Attend department and staff meetings as required
  • Stay current on housekeeping and laundry procedures, methods, and updates
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed in daily tasks
  • Promote economical and safe use of supplies, equipment, and materials
  • Ensure staff compliance with HR policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with CRSS’s mission and standards

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience in housekeeping and/or laundry services
  • Ability to perform essential physical and mental functions of the role

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Understanding of hand hygiene and enhanced barrier precautions
  • Ability to lead with professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to meet the demands of a working leadership role
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors
