Job Summary

The Parish Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the parish office and ensuring that administrative functions support the mission and activities of the parish. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage staff, interact with parishioners, and support clergy and ministry leaders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all administrative functions of the parish office

  • Supervise and support office staff, volunteers, and part-time personnel

  • Maintain accurate parish records, including sacramental and membership databases

  • Prepare parish bulletins, newsletters, and official correspondence

  • Coordinate parish calendar and schedule facility usage for parish events and ministries

  • Serve as a liaison between parish leadership, ministries, and the broader parish community

  • Manage office supply inventory and order materials as needed

  • Oversee financial record-keeping in collaboration with parish finance staff or committees

  • Ensure compliance with diocesan policies and procedures

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information

Job Requirements

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Knowledge of Catholic Church structure and practices preferred

  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion
