Job Summary

The Teacher Aide supports classroom teachers in creating a positive, faith-filled, and productive learning environment. The aide assists with instructional tasks, student supervision, and classroom organization while modeling Christian values and supporting the Catholic mission of the school.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials, setting up activities, and organizing classroom supplies.

  • Provide individual or small group support to students under the direction of the teacher.

  • Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, playground, cafeteria, and during arrival/dismissal times.

  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly classroom environment.

  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development in a manner consistent with Catholic values.

  • Encourage respectful and responsible student behavior in line with the school’s discipline policies.

  • Attend school liturgies, assemblies, and special events as needed.

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and school matters.

  • Communicate professionally with students, parents, teachers, and staff.

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in a school or daycare setting preferred.

  • Practicing Catholic preferred; non-Catholics must be supportive of Catholic mission and values.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to follow teacher instructions and adapt to different classroom needs.
