Job Summary

The Elementary School Aide supports the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled learning environment. The Aide assists with instructional tasks, student supervision, classroom management, and general clerical duties. This position requires a supportive and cooperative individual who values Catholic education and works collaboratively with faculty, students, and families.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in preparing and organizing instructional materials

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed

  • Help supervise students in the classroom, hallway, lunchroom, playground, and during special activities

  • Support classroom routines and help maintain a respectful, orderly environment

  • Encourage and model appropriate behavior and Christian values

  • Assist with clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and organizing student work

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student and school information

  • Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and faith formation events

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or coursework in education preferred

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred

  • Practicing Catholic who supports the mission of Catholic education

  • Patient, reliable, and positive team player

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to follow directions and adapt to the needs of the classroom
