Aide

Job Summary

The Aide supports teachers in creating a positive, nurturing, and faith-filled learning environment that reflects the mission of the Catholic Church. The aide assists with instructional activities, student supervision, classroom management, and daily routines to help foster academic success and spiritual growth among students.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and instructional support.

• Provide individual or small-group help to students who need extra assistance.

• Support classroom management by encouraging respectful and positive behavior.

• Help supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions.

• Assist with clerical tasks such as record-keeping, organizing materials, and maintaining classroom cleanliness.

• Support and model Catholic values and teachings in interactions with students, staff, and families.

• Communicate effectively and professionally with teachers, staff, and parents as directed.

• Participate in staff meetings and training as required.

Job Requirements

• Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.

• Understanding of and respect for Catholic teachings and school mission.

• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff.

• Patience, kindness, and a nurturing attitude toward children.

• Completion of diocesan Safe Environment training (e.g., VIRTUS) and background checks as required.
