Job Summary

Duchesne High School a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and faith-based education, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Girls Volleyball Coach. The ideal candidate will model Christian values, demonstrate strong leadership, and foster athletic excellence and personal growth in student-athletes. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise practices and games for the girls' volleyball team.

  • Teach fundamental and advanced volleyball skills in a safe, encouraging environment.

  • Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and school spirit.

  • Foster the spiritual, moral, and personal development of student-athletes in alignment with Catholic teachings.

  • Ensure student-athletes meet academic and behavioral eligibility requirements.

  • Collaborate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, equipment needs, and program goals.

  • Communicate regularly with players, parents, school staff, and administrators.

  • Maintain safety, order, and discipline during all practices, games, and travel.

  • Uphold school and league policies, as well as Catholic values and standards of conduct.

Job Requirements

  • Prior coaching experience in volleyball (school or club level preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of the game, including rules, strategies, and player development.

  • Ability to model and promote Catholic values and character education.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Must pass background check and fulfill all diocesan Safe Environment requirements.

  • [Optional:] Bachelor’s degree or teaching certification preferred.
