Job Summary

The Full-Time Aide supports the daily operations of the school by assisting staff, students, and families in a variety of settings. This role provides supervision, guidance, and general support to help maintain a safe, organized, and positive school environment. The aide may be assigned to different areas based on school needs, including student supervision, classroom assistance, care programs, and other school activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and care for students in designated school areas (e.g., classrooms, common areas, outdoor spaces, before/after school programs).

  • Assist staff with daily routines, transitions, and school procedures to ensure a safe and efficient environment.

  • Support student engagement by facilitating age-appropriate activities, reinforcing expectations, and offering encouragement.

  • Monitor student behavior and promote positive interactions, reporting concerns to supervising staff when necessary.

  • Help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment by organizing materials and ensuring compliance with school safety guidelines.

  • Assist with attendance tracking, sign-in/sign-out processes, or other basic administrative tasks as needed.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with students, families, and staff.

  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events as assigned.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support school operations and student well-being.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Prior experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting preferred but not required.

  • Ability to maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for students.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

  • Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to follow directions and school procedures.

  • Ability to adapt to different duties or work areas based on daily school needs.

  • Physical ability to supervise active children, move around the campus, and respond quickly in emergency or safety situations.
