Job Summary
The Catholic School Librarian supports the academic and spiritual mission of the school by managing library resources, fostering a love for reading, teaching research and media literacy skills, and promoting Catholic values through literature and educational activities. This role combines traditional library duties with active collaboration in the faith formation of students.
Job Responsibilities
Library Management

Organize, catalog, and maintain a collection of print and digital materials appropriate for PreK–8 (or 9–12) students.

Develop and manage the library budget, including ordering and maintaining materials.

Maintain a welcoming, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Instructional Support

Teach library and research skills, including the ethical use of information and media literacy.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to support curriculum through literature and information resources.
Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field.

Experience working with children or in an educational setting.

Practicing Catholic or willing to support and uphold the Catholic mission of the school.

Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills.
