Job Summary

Seton Regional Catholic School is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the school’s facilities and grounds are safe, clean, and well-maintained. The Maintenance Technician will perform routine repairs, upkeep, and custodial tasks while supporting the school’s mission to provide a welcoming, faith-centered environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.

  • Conduct regular inspections of the school’s physical plant and grounds to identify safety hazards or repair needs.

  • Maintain clean and orderly classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas as needed.

  • Manage snow removal, landscaping, and grounds upkeep to ensure safe access.

  • Set up and break down furniture and equipment for school events and activities.

  • Monitor and maintain inventories of maintenance supplies and equipment.

  • Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and service providers as directed.

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.

  • Ensure compliance with diocesan safety regulations and school policies.

  • Support the school community by maintaining a respectful and professional demeanor in keeping with Catholic values.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience in general maintenance, custodial work, or related field preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.

  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

  • Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including occasional evenings or weekends.
