Job Summary

Duchesne High School is a college-preparatory Catholic High School located in St. Charles, MO. Our mission is to shape leaders in mind, body, and spirit. Duchesne currently has an opening in the Science Department for a Physics Teacher. To enhance the total learning experience, our teachers are strongly encouraged to moderate or coach at least one sport or activity. 
 

Job Responsibilities

Educate students about the laws of matter and energy, fostering understanding and development of critical thinking skills. Create lesson plans, conduct experiments, assess student learning, and may also mentor other teachers, participate in research, and engage in professional development. 

Job Requirements

  • Secondary Missouri Certification (Science)

  • Strong knowledge base of high school science and physics

  • Proven success teaching at high school level 

  • Ability to use technology fully in the classroom

  • Well-versed in best practice strategies:

  • Experience with curriculum development Desirable

  • Master’s Degree in related teaching field 

  • Experience in dual/college credit courses
