POSITION SUMMARY
Job Title: Maintenance Associate
Ministry: Queen of Peace Center
Reports To: Senior Director, Shelter Plus Care and Community Programs
Maintain facilities of the Mental Health and Substance Use service line, including: OLPH, Miami apartments and St. Philippine Maternity Home and ensure security of buildings and IT infrastructure for the service line.
OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILTIES
-Perform routine and preventive maintenance and repairs, addressing maintenance issues and ensuring facilities remain in good working order
-Develop, implement and follow maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and future larger repairs
-Manage and maintain supplies necessary for maintenance tasks
-Adhere to safety regulations, procedures and guidelines, including proper handling, storing and disposing of hazardous materials
-Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs and inventory
-24/7 emergency maintenance services to address any urgent issues that may arise
- Regular inspections and assessments to identify potential maintenance needs and address them proactively
- Implementation of sustainable and energy-efficient practices to reduce operating costs and environmental impact
- Transparent communication with QOPC leadership, clients and tenants regarding maintenance schedules and any issues that may arise
- Regular reporting and feedback mechanisms to ensure effective and efficient facilities management.

-Install/Uninstall AC Window Units
-Basic Plumbing
-Doors; Handles, Locks etc.
-Washing Machine/Dryer Maintenance
-Caulking; Windows, Doors, Tubs, Sinks
-Basic Carpentry; Decks, Rails
-Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors
-Installing and changing Lights
-Assist in IT related functions for the service line, including:
-Working with Arch IT to troubleshoot network issues and hardware
-Work with phone, internet and security service providers
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
-Basic maintenance skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry
-Basic knowledge of IT, phone systems and security systems
-Ability to diagnose and fix issues quickly
-At least two years working in a maintenance position
