Job Summary:
St. Clement of Rome Catholic School, a thriving parish school in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking a faith-filled, experienced, and compassionate individual to serve as School Security Staff. This individual will work closely with school administration to help ensure the safety and security of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will bring professionalism, vigilance, and warmth to the role, embodying the values of integrity, cooperation, and care in a Catholic school environment.
Job Responsibilities

Monitor school premises during school hours and designated special events to ensure a secure environment.

Act as a visible and reassuring presence for students, staff, and visitors.

Respond quickly and appropriately to safety concerns, disturbances, or emergencies.

Assist with enforcing school safety protocols, including access control, visitor check-in, and emergency preparedness procedures.

Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.

Collaborate with school administration to develop and maintain school safety plans.

Support safe student arrival and dismissal procedures, as well as recess or outdoor activities, when appropriate.

Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional conduct at all times in alignment with the mission of the Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Requirements

Preferred: Former law enforcement or military background with a strong record of integrity and professionalism.

Trained in security, safety procedures, and first aid/CPR (current certifications preferred).

Experience working in a school or child-centered environment is strongly desired.

Must be kind, cooperative, approachable, and enjoy working with children of all ages.

Practicing Catholic preferred; must be supportive of the mission and values of Catholic education.

Ability to handle stressful or emergency situations with calm, sound judgment.

Must complete and remain compliant with the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program, including Protecting God’s Children training and background screening.
