Position Overview
The 5th Grade Teacher will lead a homeroom class, providing a structured, supportive, and faith‑centered environment that nurtures students’ academic, social, and spiritual growth. The teacher will deliver engaging instruction across core subjects, integrate Catholic values into daily learning, and collaborate closely with colleagues to support student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the 5th grade homeroom, fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
- Plan and deliver instruction in core subjects aligned with curriculum standards and best practices.
- Integrate Catholic teachings, virtues, and character formation into classroom life.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with students, families, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school initiatives and community events.
- Manage classroom routines, behavior expectations, and academic standards.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and faith‑formation opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records, grades, and required documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required; teaching certification preferred.
- Experience teaching elementary students is highly valued.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to create engaging, rigorous, and developmentally appropriate lessons.
