Job Summary

The interventionist will provide individualized and small group instruction to striving learners. This individual will also be responsible to communicate individual student needs and monitor, support, and communicate student progress and performance in collaboration with administration and general education staff. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality instruction to individual and small groups of students
  • Utilize data to drive instruction and bring student skills to grade level
  • Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best instructional practices
  •  Use identified research-based interventions focused specifically on individual student needs
  • Maintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress
  • Provide data to school teams and participate in decisions on student progress
  • Participate in meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement and progress
  • Administer diagnostic assessments to students as needed
  • Evaluate any IEPs to determine if RKA can meet specific student needs
  • Facilitate staff development opportunities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Education, Special Education, or related field required.
  • Extensive teaching experience.
  • Commitment to utilizing and supporting diverse, inclusive, and innovative curriculum.
  • Possesses an ability to work in, embrace, and meet the needs of a diverse school community of students, families, faculty/staff, and alumnae.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
