Job Summary
The Academic Interventionist/Aide supports student learning by providing targeted academic interventions under the direction of classroom teachers and school leadership. This role focuses on helping students meet grade-level standards through small-group or one-on-one instruction, progress monitoring, and collaboration with staff, all within a Christ-centered educational environment. The Interventionist plays a key role in fostering students' academic success while upholding the Catholic mission and values of the school.
Job Responsibilities
Faith Integration & Catholic Identity

Model and promote Catholic values in all professional interactions.

Contribute to a faith-based, inclusive learning environment that reflects the mission of Catholic education.

Participate in school-wide religious activities such as Mass, prayer services, and faith celebrations.
Academic Intervention & Support

Deliver individualized or small-group instruction in reading, math, or other core subjects as identified through assessments or teacher referral.

Implement intervention plans and instructional strategies under the guidance of teachers or specialists.

Use progress monitoring tools to track student growth and adjust support as needed.

Support differentiated instruction and accommodations for diverse learning needs.
Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators to align intervention efforts with classroom goals and curriculum.

Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate observations to the instructional team.

Participate in student support meetings, professional development, and data discussions when appropriate.
Student Support & Engagement

Build positive, supportive relationships with students to encourage engagement and motivation.

Help promote a growth mindset and build academic confidence in students receiving intervention services.

Maintain a respectful, orderly, and Christ-centered learning environment during all intervention sessions.
Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in education or a related field strongly preferred.

Experience providing academic support to children in a school or tutoring environment.

Understanding of instructional strategies, intervention methods, and progress monitoring tools.

Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred; commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education required.

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Basic proficiency with educational technology and data tracking tools.
