Job Summary

The Aftercare Worker is responsible for supervising and engaging students in a safe, supportive, and structured environment after regular school hours. This role includes facilitating activities, assisting with homework, managing behavior, and ensuring the overall well-being of all children in the program.

Job Responsibilities

Supervision & Safety

  • Monitor students at all times to ensure safety and proper conduct.

  • Maintain accurate attendance records and sign-in/sign-out procedures.

  • Enforce program rules and school policies consistently and positively.

Program Support

  • Plan and lead age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, and enrichment projects.

  • Assist students with homework or quiet study time as needed.

  • Prepare and distribute snacks according to health and safety guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • Experience working with children (school, camp, daycare, or youth programs).

  • Ability to manage groups and engage students effectively.

  • Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
