Job Summary
The Cafeteria Aide assists in the daily operation of the school cafeteria, helping to serve meals, supervise students, and maintain cleanliness and order. The aide supports the Catholic school’s mission by creating a welcoming and respectful environment for students during meal times and modeling Christian values in daily interactions.
Job Responsibilities

Assist with preparing, portioning, and serving food to students and staff in accordance with health and safety standards.

Monitor and supervise students during meal times to ensure safe, respectful, and orderly behavior.

Maintain a clean and sanitary dining area, including wiping tables, sweeping floors, and managing trash and recycling.

Assist with dishwashing and kitchen clean-up as needed.

Help with setting up and breaking down serving areas before and after meal service.

Follow all food safety, hygiene, and diocesan guidelines related to student health and nutrition.

Report any student concerns or incidents to the Cafeteria Manager or school administration.

Communicate and interact with students in a friendly, supportive, and respectful manner.

Promote and support the Catholic identity and values of the school in all duties and interactions.
Job Requirements

Experience working in food service or with children is helpful but not required.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Dependable, respectful, and team-oriented.

Practicing Catholic preferred; non-Catholics must be respectful of the mission and values of Catholic education.
