Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, caring, and committed to fostering a joyful, safe, and inclusive learning environment. As a Classroom Aide, they will assist teachers in delivering instructional activities, support classroom management, and provide individual attention to students. Our school strives to offer the highest academic and faith formation programs, creating a space where each person can grow spiritually, intellectually, and socially.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with teachers and administrators to support classroom instruction and routines

  • Assist with small group and one-on-one learning activities to meet diverse student needs

  • Support the social, emotional, and spiritual development of students in alignment with Catholic values

  • Help supervise students during classroom transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment

  • Communicate regularly and supportively with teachers, staff, and parents

  • Foster a nurturing, respectful, and faith-filled classroom culture

  • Model Christian behavior and support the mission of Catholic education

  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as needed

  • Complete and maintain compliance with the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience working with students in a classroom or child-centered setting

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively

  • Organized, dependable, and adaptable to the needs of a dynamic school environment

  • Joyful, compassionate, and student-focused

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Practicing Catholic preferred but not required

  • Completion of the Protecting God’s Children training and background screening required through the Archdiocese of St. Louis

Pre-Employment Screening
